Rehabilitation of shoulders and culverts

The project involved replacing culverts at three specific locations in Normandin. The project also included a remedial work zone on chemin du Rocher.

For the work on chemin du Rocher, the contractor had to ensure that he used the work methods required considering a fish spawning ground located some 5 metres upstream of his work area. Restoration work on this culvert involved removing the end sheet, laying the foundations, installing the floodwall and installing the replacement sheet. The embankment had to be restored and protected. A portion of the shoulder and roadway had to be corrected and paved in a single layer, following a freeze-thaw cycle.
